FAQs

1. Will we have a Dream Team at the Mt Carmel Campus?

A: Yes. We will be working through our Growth Track classes with the people ready to get involved with our Mt Camel Campus – looking for and developing Dream Team leaders.

2. What is the Dream Team?

A: Our Dream Team is made up of the people making life at The Roads happen every single week. They’re teaching our kiddos, parking our cars, serving us coffee and serving in so many other capacities – some seen and some very much behind the scenes. These people are a group of amazing, dedicated people committed to building His Kingdom, serving alongside one another, while using their strengths and talents to connect people to Jesus. When you’re ready – we have room for you on our Dream Team!

3. What Dream Team teams will we have at Mt Carmel?

A: We have room and need for lots of teams, and we are excited to see the gifts and talents in people to serve in different capacities. To list some of our teams – hospitality, greeters, ushers, parking, Roads Kidz, Rock Youth, service coordinators, worship team, audio/video/IT and lots more.

4. Will Mt Carmel have Connect Group(s)?

A: Yes. Currently there is a Mt Carmel Connect Group lead by Kevin and Amy Gammon. This group is open for anyone wanting to attend. More info http://bit.ly/MtCarmelConnectGroup At a future date (TBA) we will offer our Connect Group Leader Orientation for those interested in finding out more and leading a Connect Group.

5. Who is the Pastor of Mt Carmel?

A. The Roads Church is “one church meeting in multiple locations”. The Roads Church Lead Pastors over every location are Chad and Dawn Everett. Each campus including Norris City will have its own campus pastor. Kevin and Amy Gammon are the Mt Carmel Campus Pastors.

6. Will there be someone speaking in person at the Mt. Carmel Campus?

A: The vision of The Roads Church is to have multiple locations in Southern Illinois and the Tri-State area. In order to accomplish this, The Roads Church will be utilizing the strategy that has been used so effectively around the country and world for multi-site churches which is the use of video technology. We will be doing a lot of live speaking in the beginning, while we get things set up and established but the eventual plan is for all of our campuses to have live worship, Roads Kidz/Youth ministry, Dream Team, outreaches, Connect Groups and a campus pastor for ministry and all other personal needs of that particular location. The only part of the service that will be on video at all campuses where the speaker is not broadcasting from will be the message itself. All other aspects of the service will be in person and interactive. We are leaving open the possibility of broadcasting from different locations.

7. Is there a date that the Mt Carmel church building will be open?

A: We are working with the Wabash Valley College to operate our services out of their Brubeck Arts Center Theatre until the completion of our building, and we will update our website with progress and new dates for our building as we know them. We are excited to get it finished, and thankful to WVC that we get to start services even before our building is open.

8. What will be offered for my children?

A: Our Roads Kidz program is for children 1 year old through 5th grade. The vision is to connect kids with Jesus so that their life can forever be transformed by the love and goodness of God. Our desire is to provide classes for these ages and develop new leaders with a heart for kids and connecting them with Jesus.

9. What will you offer for youth?

A: Our Rock Youth is for all Jr & Sr High School students. Our desire is to build relationships with youth through local Connect Groups in the Mt Carmel area, similar to our Norris City area Connect Groups. In addition, our vision is to develop leadership right from the Mt Carmel Campus with people who have a heart and passion to see our youth connect with Jesus so they can impact their friends and schools with the love of God.
